On the 6th of March this year, Concord High School organised an Information Evening for International Students and their parents and guardians in order to help and support students' wellbeing in Australia. This is an event that is provided regularly by Concord High School to support newly enrolled students and their parents and carers.
This information session gave students and their carers an opportunity to meet members of staff, including the International Student Co-ordinator, International Student Liaisons, Deputy Principal and Principal. International Students Co-ordinator Ms Finlayson talked about the expectations of International Students studying in Australia and the responsibilities of carers, and answered any queries about studying in Australia. Students gained a better understanding of their obligations and how to make their time in Australia pleasant and safe and carers informed of how they can best support students, all whilst enjoying afternoon tea.
