International Students Award

2018

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the International Student awards, which recognise the many and varied achievements of International Students attending NSW government schools. The ceremony was held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on the 22nd of February. Concord High School was proud to nominate one of our own high achievers, Zhuoyu (Tony) Chen, in two categories: School Leadership and Academic Achievement. It was fantastic to see Tony recognised for the many ways that he has contributed to our school, and his hard work and subsequent excellent ATAR acknowledged. Tony has been a truly valued member of Concord High School, which was demonstrated by his election to Vice-Captain of 2017. Whilst we will miss him, we know that Tony has left a legacy that strengthens the bonds between International Students, Concord High School and our community as a whole.

Last year, Concord High School proudly nominated two outstanding international students: Rong  (Katherine) Fu for the Academic Achievement Award and Shaobo (Charlie) Zhang for the School Service Award. This occasion is a meaningful event for our students to gain acknowledgement for their great contributions to the school community and the outstanding achievements they themselves have obtained as excellent students. In addition, Nan Jiang a former student who is also a talented guitar player, performed a traditional Peruvian guitar song onstage for all attendees.
