Students taking minimum standard online tests :
Term 3 - Monday Week 6 27th August
There are three tests that students must pass to achieve the HSC minimum standard – reading, writing and numeracy. Students will have the opportunity to sit the writing test in term 3. Just a reminder that we will be enrolling designated Year 10 students in term 3 for the minimum standard online test for writing. The test allows our students to demonstrate they meet the HSC minimum standard, which is required to receive the Higher School Certificate from 2020.
Students have two opportunities a year to meet the standard, from Year 10 until a few years after Year 12. The vast majority of students at CHS who sat for numeracy and reading tests in term 2, have now met the standard in those areas.
We have also enrolled Year 10 students for the practice test in writing on the 7th of August so they are familiar with the online test format and can assess whether they are ready to take the actual test.
